Setting goals for ourselves is something we all do. Whether it be New Years Resolutions or just our day to day lists, we always have high hopes that we will accomplish it all with great success, right?
Well, when life hits us with an unexpected circumstance we may have to adjust our goals. Then we have choices to make.
We can consider the circumstance either God's blessing,
God's lesson, a coincidence or satan's minions just messing with us. I, for one, do not believe in coincidence. I feel I can either accept the circumstance and relish that I am still in His presence or I can choose to be upset and miserable. I believe unexpected circumstances are God's way of guiding and nudging me into a life of pure joy and salvation that will result in an eternal life more wonderful than I can imagine. I can do this because I am a 48 year old woman who has had unexpected circumstances (good and bad) and know God was in the midst of them all. I have experience. I know the truth. The truth has set me free.*
What joy it is to watch a young mother, who does not have five decades of experience, learn and discover that God is in the midst of her situation. Loving and caring for her in ways she at first does not understand and then accepting the truth that Jesus is the only way to go! It is refreshing and exciting to be apart of her journey.
This is what we see at Jericho Young Mothers Home and in our Embrace Grace/Embrace Life bible studies. Young mothers who found themselves in an unexpected circumstance and have come to learn that they have the right to own their Godly inheritance and are worthy through the blood of Christ. The joy in their faces when they convey what they have learned throughout the week is a Heavenly light. God shines the truth on their situation and reveals that it was His plan all along and that they should share their joy with everyone. These young women are finding Christ BECAUSE OF their unexpected circumstance. It is beautiful!
