Jericho Young Mothers Home
Every day will look a little different for our young mothers. We plan to cater to their specific needs and give them the opportunity to learn and grow in several different areas. Listed below are just a few of the ways we plan on serving and teaching our young mothers to become successful parents and leaders.
Daily Life
What will a young mother have the opportunity to learn while at Jericho?
Parenting Skills and Encouragement
We plan on teaching parenting skills that help them become successful parents and that teach them how to parent how God would want them to. They will have access to family counseling with Frontline Family Solutions and will get to learn from experienced parents.
Life
Skills
The young mothers who come to stay at Jericho will have the opportunity to learn several different life skills including but not limited to; self awareness and self management, problem solving and decision making, household and personal cleanliness, cooking, stress management, creativity, etc.
Education & Career
We will give the young mothers the resources they need to complete their education and pursue a career.
Bible Studies
We will be walking through bible studies with each of the young mothers while they are here at Jericho. We want to make sure we lead them to pursue a relationship with the Lord and we will teach the importance of having God at the center of our lives.
Finances
Our young mothers will learn how to manage their finances, how to save money, spending habits, how to pay bills, taxes, etc.
Health & Wellness
We will be teaching and encouraging the young mothers to implement healthy life style choices into their daily life including; a healthy diet, the importance of exercise, healthy lifestyle choices like avoiding drugs and alcohol, etc.
